EMC,Safety,andR&TTEDirectiveCompliance

TheCEmarkisaffixedtothisproducttoconfirmcompliancewiththefollowingEuropeanCommunity Directives:

CouncilDirective2004/108/ECof31December2004ontheapproximationofthelawsofMemberStates

relatingtoelectromagneticcompatibility;

and

CouncilDirective2006/95/ECof12December2006ontheharmonizationofthelawsofMemberSt

atesrelating

toelectricalequipmentdesignedforusewithincertainvoltagelimits;

and

CouncilDirective1999/5/ECof9March1999onradioequipmentandtelecommunications terminalequipment

andthemutualrecognitionoftheirconformity.

InternationalModemRestrictions

Somedialingandansweringdefaultsandrestrictionsmayvaryforinternationalmodems. Changingsettingsmay

causeamodemtobecomenon‐compliantwithnationaltelecomrequirementsinspecificcountries.Alsonote

thatsomesoftwarepackagesmayhavefeaturesorlackrestrictionsthatmaycausethemodemtobecomenon‐

compliant.

FCCPart15ClassBStatement

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuantto47

CFRPart15regulations.Thestatedlimitsinthisregulationaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotection

againstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,uses,andcanradiateradio

frequen

cyenergy,andifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmful

interferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguarantee thatinterferencewillnotoccurina

particularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,which

canbedeterminedbytur

ningtheequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrectthe

interferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:

● Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.

● Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.

● Plugtheequipmentintoanoutleton acircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiverisconnected.

● Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.

ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheCFR47rules.Operationofthisdeviceissubjecttothefollowing

conditions:(1)Thisdevicemaynotcaus e harmfulinterference,and(2)thisdevi cemustacceptanyinterference

thatmaycauseundesiredoperation.
